I founded and started moderating Riham’s Cairo Book Club previously known as “Rose’s Cairo Book Club” to provide a refuge and an outlet for those few but avid bibliophiles in Cairo to meet and discuss books, culture and anything on their mind in English.

A book and a meeting date are announced every month. In 2017, the book club completed three successful rounds in the American University in Cairo, discussing Arabic fiction in translation, reviewing the mechanics of each work and mainly focusing on what got “lost in translation”.

Local authors with translated work or books written in English are welcome to contact me to consider them for the next discussion.
